KMW Communities, a Chicago-based developer, has teamed up with Eckenhoff Saunders Architects to bring this vision to life. The five-story building will blend seamlessly with its surroundings, rising approximately 55 feet and offering a mix of studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom units. A total of 30 residences will be available, with six designated as affordable housing.
The design showcases a unique approach, with the structure hugging Winnebago Avenue while creating private and shared patio spaces on the other sides. Select units will feature cantilevered balconies, and all residents will enjoy access to a shared rooftop deck, offering breathtaking views of the city skyline.
And this is the part most people miss: the building's exterior will be clad in a beautiful combination of light brown brick and wood-finished panels, adding a touch of warmth and character to the neighborhood.
